The Effect of Using Modern Technologies on the Interaction of Middle School Students in Geography
Abstract
The purpose of the study was to determine the impact of educational technologies on enhancing the engagement of middle school students in geography. The study utilized an experimental approach with a sample size of 80 students, split into two groups: a control group and an experimental group, each consisting of 40 students. A questionnaire was administered to the students to assess their level of engagement in geography within both groups and to evaluate the effect of integrating advanced technology into the teaching methods of the experimental group. The findings revealed noticeable disparities in the engagement levels of students in geography between the control and experimental groups, with a preference for the group that received geography instruction integrated with technology. Consequently, it was suggested that educational strategies incorporating technology be further explored in geography instruction, and that educators receive training on the use of technology and modern educational tools.
