The contribution of the role of the oil sector in the formation of the rentier reality in Iraq for the period (2003-2019)
Abstract
The Iraqi economy heavily depended oil revenues after 2003, it prone to some of the market risks as well as the temporal changes such as the factor of supply and demand. And that factor made the Iraqi economy subject to the fluctuations in the oil market. When the oil prices rise , the consumables expenditures are increasing which leads to wealth waste accordingly while the fall of the oil prices leads to the austerity and the calls for regulating and rationalization of the economic resources. This means that Iraq has fluctuating economic environment after 2004 . as well as the presence of a structural imbalance in the environment of the Iraqi economy.
