The Performance degree of Arabic teachers in the levels of reading and writing readiness and preparation among primary school students.
Abstract
This study aimed to figure out the performance degree of the Arabic teachers in the levels of reading and writing readiness and preparation among primary school students. The study adopted the descriptive, analytical approach. To achieve the objectives of the study, the observation card was adopted as a tool for data collection from the study sample consisting of (100) male and female teachers teaching the first grade in Maysan directorate for their observations during teaching. The study concluded a high degree in the performance of the Arabic language teachers in the readiness and preparation stages in reading and writing among primary school students, and no statistically significant differences in the performance level of the Arabic language teachers in the readiness and preparation stages in reading and writing according to the variables of (gender, educational qualification, and experience). Based on the results of the study, the researcher recommends the need to enrich the linguistic wealth of students and developing the reading and writing skills, and determining their benefits and uses through stories, tales, language games, picture books and conversation boards.
