Abstract

The conquests and its margins during the time of Caliphs are a major controversy between Shi'a and Sunnis, as well as the Arabs and Ajams (non-Arabs). In the historical and jurisprudential books, the viewpoint of Imam Ali (p.b.u.h) has been shown less about the conquests. Did he agree with the conquests? Or had another opinion? Opponents of the Islamic religion and those who seek racial superiority have theorized Islam and accused Iranians of being indebted by the wars of the Caliphate and the Arab race, and thus they want to consider their people or their race more superior. This is while Islam is known for being a religion of justice, equality, affection, and kindness, not a religion of looting, racial superiority, prejudice and violence. Therefore, the viewpoint of Imam Ali (p.b.u.h) expresses the true view of pure Islam in this regard. Imam (p.b.u.h) agreed with the principle of primitive jihad and the spread of Islam around the word La -Ilaha -illa-Allah, (There is no deity but God) Muhammad is the messenger of God (peace be upon Mohammad and his holy family), but he did not accept the principle of caliphate rule, he rejected their actions. And since he had to conduct a precaution* at that time, he could not express his explicit viewpoint. Eventually, at the time of his caliphate, he was presented with a fait accompli, and he had no choice but to manage the conquered territories in order to bring about the true .Islam and reduce their corruption  Taqyyah *that one is allowed to hide his true beliefs in certain circumstances or to lie to save himself of being killed or harmed.
